What California is Facing

As many of you have probably heard by now, there is a battle going on now in California, my home state. This is very important to me because most of my family lives there. I have nephews and nieces who attend schools in California who could be affected by this. Also, it could be where we end up living eventually.
In 2000 the people of California voted 61%, I'll say it again, 61.4% in favor of defining marriage between a man a woman. That's a huge number! Only 38.6% voted against it. In June this 61.4% majority vote was reversed courtesy of a state Supreme Court ruling.
This November 4th Californians will again vote on this same issue under Proposition 8. The following video shows what happened to a family in Massachusetts when the state legalized same sex marriages. Don't think this won't happen because it already has!

For all of you Californians or if you know one... Vote Yes on Proposition 8.

So this comment is totally unrelated to your post, but I wanted to let you know that I love Texas and I would love to go to the zoo with you guys once you get down here. The weather is great and we really like our ward and the people in general are great! I don't know as much about Dallas, but my friend loves it and she lives in a really cool neighborhood with funky, but nice older homes. Where we live is really cookie cutter and it kind of drives me crazy, but anyways when you get closer to moving down here I can get more info from my friend and even give you her contact info if you want. Enjoy the old this winter!

Hey Dawn! I was so surprised to find your blog. My cousins have links to Megan and Luke's blog and then there you were.

You have a beautiful family. It was so fun to see people from home and what they are up to. It has been a really looong time hasn't it?
